All Is Not Forgotten by Wendy Walker
3.0

I keep going back and forth between 3 and 4 stars on this one --

While it is a gruesome topic, I thought the idea about the "treatment" and the ethical implications surrounding it was an interesting take. Almost like a real-life "Eternal Sunshine."

The book is definitely a slow burn. It's one where I needed to take some breaks from it rather than one I couldn't put down. It still keep my interest each time I picked it up though.

The narrator is pretty unlikable -- you'll see that same comment among the other reviews, although I didn't actually really dislike him until about halfway through the book when he was describing his wife and their relationship -- ugh. He also does a lot of sketchy things to save his family (which, to be fair, others may do something similar to protect the ones they love) but since it was a doctor, someone who is supposed to help you and someone you're supposed to be able to trust, it boils down to being super sketchy.

And that ending! I'm still thinking about it. I don't know how believable some parts where, but I'll accept it.
