Guy Delisle is an exceptional artist, and his books rank high among the ones I have most enjoyed. Hostage is no exception. Delisle's dark, precise illustrations make you feel like you are right there with Christophe. My only complaint is that much of the book was repetitive, but that's a problem inherent with the story and does not diminish greatly from the merit of the book.
