Only if you've read The Bronze Horseman

This book is fairly unrelenting in its pessimism, its downward path from love to resentment, wealth to hunger. Gina, while not as unfailing dimwitted as Tatiana in TBH, is frustratingly silenced by the consequences of a childhood choice. Harry has but one appealing quality - apparently he's good in bed, which covers his endless litany of selfishness and stupidity. Some of Alexander's worst qualities find their genesis in these pages.
