The Messengers by Sylvia Hawk'sbee

4.0

This was quite a unique read for me. I don't recall reading anything like this.

Thomas and Karina both awoke in the same hospital, attacked on the same night. Piece by piece information is released to them. They've been chosen to go on this journey for people who communicate with Thomas and Karina through their minds.

Although in some places this novel had me confused, I easily got into the pacing and story this book held. I did have to reread some of the pages to understand, but that's fine.

I loved the friendship between Thomas and Karina. Although strangers to each other, they grew pretty close and gave off the strong best friends vibe.

Sylvia Hawk'sbee's writing style flowed easily but I do feel we could have done with some more description. Just so that we could understand the world and the journey we were pulled into.

Altogether though, I quite liked this book and found it a quick enough read.
