This Mournable Body
by Tsitsi Dangarembga
A slow building story, like the previous two in the trilogy, but much darker as Tambudzai's struggles to succeed intensify. Her unreliability as a narrator gives parts of the story a darkly surreal air and make it difficult to distinguish reality from delusion. Ultimately a fascinating story which really delves into the psychological impacts of colonialism.
