i’m sobbing as a write this, i can’t even begin to explain how beautiful of a book this was. between alice and hayden’s love story, to margaret’s past and her own love story, to the plot twist and little connections between characters. this book was written so stunningly. and the way emily henry not only values romantic love but platonic love is so refreshing. something emhen will always get right is the value of friendship, and human connection and this book perfectly reflects that. genuinely such a beautifully crafted book. i’ve had many five stars this year so far, sure, but i haven’t felt this feeling in quite some time. the way i feel right now after finishing this book is a feeling only the queen herself can evoke from me. god i needed this so bad.
