This was such a bitte sweet ride. Tomoyo and Mariko's friendship is beautiful, heart wrenching, so tragic but so healing too. The despair of losing a loved one was so well done in the story: throughout Tomoyo's journey I could feel sadness, hollowness, anger, sometimes all at once. If you decide to read this on the go, get comfortable with the idea of tearing up in public.
