To be honest: not a huge fan of correlating plant based diets with untreated mental illness. Animal ethics isn't even all that central to the core narrative but I suppose "Wanting to Sleep With Your Sister-in-law" doesn't work as a title so The Vegetarian makes sense.
But the book is enjoyable in an familial horror kind of way and doesn't overstay its welcome.
