There’s nothing *wrong* with this book, but it just didn’t grab me. It wasn’t particularly dense, but it took me forever to finish. I think part of it was that the characters all felt almost like caricatures, so none of them really left an impression or made me feel anything very deeply. This book did make me laugh a few times though; the slapstick comedy bits were hilarious. I guess I just didn’t really get it overall. I think it would have meant more to me if religion/church was an important part of my life—or a part of it at all.
