The Library of Shadows by Rachel Moore

4.0

Very fulfilling ending.
The plot twist reminded me a lot of Lockwood and Co, for reasons I won't explain because I don't want to spoil anything, but those who've read it will understand what I'm saying.
Because of the fun vibes and characters so full of life ( even the ghost), I loved this book.
This book follows a girl who decides to go to the same school her father went to before he disappeared, but the catch is that her father went to the third most haunted school in the world.
Our MC doesn't believe in ghosts, though, so she doesn't worry about that, unlike her roommate, who swears up and down that she will see a ghost before the end of the semester.
On her first day of school, though, our MC runs into a very attractive boy l, whom, through an odd course of events, convinced her to go to a very restricted area in the school, and he ends up stealing a very important book, and blames it on her.
As she tries to track down the boy and prove to her principle that it wasn't her, she also learns some very strange things about the school, including the fact that the boy that she ran into doesn't seem to actually exist. Or, at least, he hasn't in over a century's time and that he might just be a ghost.
All this only brings up more questions for her, including, why would he want the book? Who was he really? And if he was a ghost, why on earth would he want to haunt an old school?

All in all, this was a very enjoyable read, I would've given it five stars. I, however, did only give it four stars due to pacing issues in the beginning that were a bit rough to get through, besides that, I think this was a very creative and fun read overall.
