I really enjoyed this book even though I am not a fan of fantasy. I don't feel that you can ever go wrong when choosing a Newberry winner. I enjoyed the story, the writing, and the character development. There were a lot of lessons to be learned from each character and their individual perspectives. The power of faith, love, and family are what, in my opinion, drove the characters throughout the story.
