The Bronc Rider Takes a Fall by Debra Holt

4.0

Trey and Laurie’s story in The Bronc Rider Takes a Fall by Debra Holt, book three in The Tremaynes of Texas series, was a sweet, enjoyable, emotional, and heartwarming tale, that is about how appearances can be deceiving and how a shy girl’s secret teenage crush turns into forever. From the beginning, when Laurie falls into Trey’s arms, there was a chemistry and magnetism between these two; despite Laurie’s girlhood crush. Add in a little boy, TJ, wanting male attention, someone to do things with, and you have the setting for either the perfect relationship or a heart-breaking, disappointing. Watching the popular playboy bronc rider falling for the quiet, shy girl is quite delightful. I enjoyed seeing Trey out of his comfort zone, acting out of character without even realizing it; becoming a soft, caring and kind-hearted man. Laurie, a school teacher, taking over her grandfather’s store for the summer, has become a force of nature. The once quiet girl has left her shell behind to become a caring and protective mother to TJ, an amazing little boy who captures everyone’s heart.

Ms. Holt wrote a sweet, heartwarming romance filled with strong magnetism, sizzling chemistry, clever banter, and endearing secondary characters giving Trey and Laurie a chance for a future together, filled with love as well as a family for TJ. I highly recommend The Bronc Rider Takes a Fall to other readers and look forward to the next book in this series.
