How to Think Like a Woman: Four Women Philosophers Who Taught Me How to Love the Life of the Mind by Regan Penaluna

5.0

I am fascinated by moral philosophers and thoroughly enjoyed all the philosophy classes I took in college. They were the most challenging and rewarding classes I took. So when this book popped up in a recommendation video on my For You page on TikTok, I was intrigued. If you are also interested in moral philosophy but you have always wanted a woman’s perspective on the ideas of canon at the time they were first being discussed, you’ll really enjoy this. Maybe not the most accessible if you aren’t already familiar with the ideas of moral philosophy, but it’s so well written. I especially loved the section on Mary Wollstonecraft, mother of Frankenstein author Mary Shelley, and an author in her own right.  Great read. I’d love a physical copy.
