this is most definitely my favourite so far from the acotar series. i laughed. i cried. well, sobbed really. this book really hit home for me with the dialogues, and the development of nesta and elain's characters was one of my favourite parts. to make once minor characters into something major and turn their unique personalities into something far more prominent is truly an art form that sarah j maas has mastered. i'm so enamoured by how sarah writes the most complex of emotions, and how her characters are in no way perfect through their dialogues and actions that even the protagonist is not immune from. i was utterly engaged from the beginning to the end, but my favourite part of it all was the extension of nesta and cassian, who had me sobbing my heart out. in conclusion, i am once again revering sarah j maas as a genius.
