This book was as much about dealing with grief/unresolved trauma as it was about a journey of self discovery. The book isn't scary, in my opinion, but does bring "haunted by the death of a loved one" to a very literal interaction.
Very enjoyable and well written, delving into the Appalachian haunts with ease and familiarity.
It dragged in some spots for me, but I never got bored. Do recommend.
