The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie

5.0

i was going to say 4.5 but it’s such a clever little book i had to give it 5, what a novel!! christie is world renowned for a reason, this book was a stroke of genius. i felt absurdly clever to have figured it out (i must confess, helped along the way by some reviews i had read, no spoilers here folks) but this book really takes you on a journey! i do adore poirot, you funny little Belgian man you

i think to truly get everything out of this, read this book without reading anything else about it, part of me wishes i had. go in completely and utterly blind, and you’ll have the best time.
