Are You My Mother? A Comic Drama by Alison Bechdel

This is a book I want to own.

An interesting psychoanalysis of the mother-daughter relationships that touches all of us who live with fraught family ties. The book really reflects the mindset of deeply introspective people, who tend to feel the need to constantly analyze themselves to pinpoint exactly why they feel broken and how to deal with it: an endless search full of complicated feelings, usually inherited from the relationships we have with our parents (the formation of the "False Self", hiding the "True Self", to give our parents what they need from us: instead of them giving us what we needed).
