oh boy where do I even begin with this? 🤯🤯 I’m still gathering my thoughts together because WOW, what a ride!!!

you absolutely 100% have to read THE KIND WORTH KILLING before you read this one, even though this one is categorized as a “semi-sequel” … there are so many spoilers and answers from the first novel in this one, so I’m grateful for those 😅

while this book focuses mostly around kimball (the police detective turned private detective), it was truly lily’s POV and thought process that really sold it for me! I wasn’t as invested in the side characters this time around, but the way they connected with kimball’s past was 🤌🏼 I was SCREAMING!!!

in hindsight, I definitely should have figured out all of the plot twists, but I was simply along for the ride

I don’t think this lived up to the hype that I felt after TKWK, but it was a great extended epilogue! the unfolding of the sub-plot between kimball and lily was a little slow and out of left field, compared to their thoughts and actions from the first book, but adding in a whole new plot was a wise choice!!

this is definitely a must read for anyone who absolutely adored TKWK, like me! it’s worth the wait!
