I’m going to say something weird, but this would have been a beautiful and horrific love story. Sadly, it doesn’t end that way. Perhaps that would have made it a bit more compelling Maeve is interesting enough, and I do really love idea that women can just be torturous monsters without having a victim story or a reason. But I don’t really like Maeve’s voice. It’s so cliche? I think I would have loved more on Gideon and I didn’t really feel the chemistry between her and Kate as friends. Also, I felt like the whole Disney arc could have been talked about more? This was a lot and I ripped through it quickly so I suppose it was interesting enough, but I really just wanted something more, or something fresh. This felt regurgitated from different things. Like I kept thinking of a Criminal Minds episode at the end (if you know, you know). I don’t know, I think this would have panned out better as a horror romance, and I’m not even joking.
