dashie 's review for:
The Ruin of Kings
by Jenn Lyons
That was so confusing, but also there was the promise of depth and further explanation at the end of the tale that kept me going. Maybe because I was listening to it in audiobook, I wasn't confused by the style of alternating chapters told by two different narrators while a third butt in every other line with footnote observations at all. In fact, it kind of made the whole experience all the more enjoyable. But I am none the wiser, I have no idea what happened in this book at all, except there's a lot of magic and some rich, elite families and more prophecies than you could count.
