I read this book at the peak of it's popularity in 1994. I recall not being able to figure out if it was fiction or non-fiction (pre-internet and perhaps I couldn't tell by how the book was classified on the back cover?) Kurt Cobain's suicide sucked me into a nihilistic whirlpool of despair and prevented me from believing any of this crap. Thanks, Kurt!
