Call the Midwife: Shadows of the Workhouse by Jennifer Worth

The style of writing and the layout of this book was different to the first in a way that I didn't enjoy as much. Instead of many stories about many different people, this book focused on the lives of just three people. It moved slowly and stiffly and only made me feel emotion in two spots as opposed to the first book which was full of emotion. Stories from the first book stayed with me, this book won't. And I'm not inclined to rush out and read the third in the series but I know I will eventually just to finish them off.
