The Reunion
by Kayla Olson
The writing in this wasn't terrible but that is the best thing I can say about this book. I know what the characters wore, I know what they ate, and I know what their houses look like. I don't feel like I actually know them. And what I do know about them is very dull. Liv and Ransom (the name Ransom alone makes me want to give this 1 star but I'm feeling generous today) were best friends until they weren't. Don't worry, if you can't remember that fact after the first time you're told you'll be reminded of it every few pages for at least the first half of the book. For a romance there's really not any tension or build up. There's hardly even any communication, there's just Liv not knowing how to be an adult.
There's a whole lot of character names to keep straight but none of them really make an impact. I only know Sasha Kate is a jealous bitch because I'm told Sasha Kate is a jealous bitch, she hardly appears on the pages at all but she's a jealous bitch for sure. There's a married couple named Dan and Xan because of course this star writing duo had rhyming names. Don't forget about Ford, except you will forget about Ford because he's in the beginning and then disappears until the end.
Also, the show they're filming sounds terrible with clunky dialogue and I think the fans are going to hate it.
