Only giving a 5 star because this series was my first romance series and it holds a special place in my heart. That being said, I love Tate so much she’s strong headed and knows her worth and what she deserves, I just wish Jared wasn’t such a fuck head and actually had the balls to just talk to her. It’s pretty much just a massive miscommunication trope but at the same time they were only teenagers and Pen has written this from the angle of a teenager. A lot of angst, longing, unregulated emotions, tension, trauma, pride and fear. She did a good job of getting inside the head of a 17 year old and really bringing it to life. Love this series so much I’ve read it at least 4-5 times and will continue to do so 😂
