I loved the nuanced and complicated relationships between all the women within the book and how even though you could feel that their connections to the men in their respective lives were important, they were still outshined by the connections within the family. The exploration of the different things sisterhood can mean and how it can evolve was especially interesting to me. I also loved how distinct every one of the Owens women feels, while still clearly being reflected in one another.

Also Sally Owens, spare hand in marriage?
