More of a booklet than a book. This is a quick uplifting read. I say uplifting. It's not at all blowing sunshine bubble rainbows. Lucado examines the story of Joseph from Genesis to show how when we're in a pit, when we've been treated unjustly and forgotten, we can get through. The author is unflinching in his willingness to admit that life sometimes sucks, though he puts it far more eloquently than I do. I'm in a difficult season, and this book gives me hope. I'll be keeping it close at hand for repeat reading.
