After recently obtaining all the hard back copies of this series because my husband has loved the series for years, I looked it up on overdrive and we listened to it over the holiday break in the car and while working on puzzles. I actually found a lot of things undone and confusing at the end of the book. Many paragraphs in the book had inclinations at being a "foreshadow" of something and in the end after discussing them with my husband he couldn't explain how or why those had been points brought up in the book. I liked the story line, it was an easy read and enjoyable for the genre it's written in. I have checked out the second book, but been hesitant as to whether I am actually going to delve into it which leaves me with a 4* review because it didn't make me want to dive right into the next book to fly through the series.
