The Shining is far and above my favorite novel of all time.
Jack’s inner turmoil is so pervasive and tangible, and King I feel very adequately captured what it’s like to love your family and be manipulated by an addiction.
King’s ability to channel our mindsets we had as children and recall us back to them so easily with how Danny is written is phenomenal.
A beautiful setting, characters I bonded to instantly, true, soul-chilling terror and devastation. Again, I am left blown-away by an incredible tale.
