This book did not miss, and was written in true Marissa Meyer fashion where everything clicks into place like the goddess Wydrith themselves has written and told such a tale. I am not good at reading series’s, even duologies, as I prefer stand-alone, but this series was certainly worth it! The beginning was slow and full of exposition as you’d expect. As well, I was afraid that I would not recall what had happened in the previous book as it was about a year ago that I read it, but Meyer did a great job reintroducing the concepts that were vital to be carried over from the last one. It was not in an obvious way, but a subtle one, just enough to jog your memory. As I said, the beginning was a lot of setting up the story, but once it found a pace, it did not hesitate to run with it. The ending was worth every page
