We learn another step in the history of the Metis people. Echo's connection to the past allows us to see her ancestor's plight as Canada spread westward. Many panels go by with just art and no words, so I find the timeline at the end really helpful in filling in the gaps. That being said, if it was the other way around I don't think it would stick in my head as much.
