I was so angry. It was unimaginable to see this amount of racism… Yet it is still possible. The story of this school could happened and that’s what I’m most angry.
I loved the two main characters. They were so different, I liked it. I like how Chiamaka had to grow and really sees things.
Also, I really liked how the lgbtq+ topic was approach. It didn’t felt forced or abnormal. It was “oh yeah he’s gay” “ah wow, ok ig”
It wasn’t a perfect/exaggerated reactions but it also wasn’t an openly homophobe reaction. It was a normal one. Something we tend to expect in 2022.
I just didn’t like the end. She missed something. It felt rush. Everything happened but nothing was really explained.
what happened with twitter and the protesters? How the parents really reacted knowing what their kids went through? How Chiamaka dealt with grief? What happened with Belle? What’s the complete story? What happened between Terrel and Devon? So many things that could have been exploited

I also didn’t like how it took time for them to figure out why they were targets. How the never had the idea of talking to each other to understand until it was pretty much too late.
And, sometime, there were things that were pretty obvious
like Ruth, Ava, Jaimie being part of the Aces
But the characters catch it too late.
A part of all this, I was really into the story. Aces was mysterious and really too mean. Both of the mains had there things to deal with including the bullying things. It was a great mysterious story.
