The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles
5.0

1950's America has never had any appeal for me when choosing a book. A group of teenage boys on a road trip seemed even less appealing. But Amor Towles' previous books were so entertaining that I gave this book a chance. I am very, very glad I did. I love this book! I love the characters, their digressions, and just the overall mood of the book. I read it on a format that doesn't show page counts, so I am SHOCKED to see it is almost 600 pages! The pages just flew by and I did not want it to end. That's rare experience for me. Towles is definitely at the top of my contemporary writers list!
