What If It's Us by Becky Albertalli, Adam Silvera

3.0

I'd say it's a 3.25 out of 5. I'm not always one for cutesy in books, but since this novel was named after a song in a musical, I guess dramatic and cute was the goal! :)

As a love story aimed towards younger audiences, I can see this book being a light lesson on how communication in relationships being confusing for couples and friends on both the straight and gay spectrums. I admire the authors' message (or what I saw as the message) to accept that life happens, and you can take advantage of it with some hope, humility, and risk.
