Rebel City: A Year of Protests in Hong Kong by Zuraidah Ibrahim, Jeffie Lam

informative reflective medium-paced

5.0

A very thorough and unbiased look at the social unrest in Hong Kong since 2019. Not only does it discuss the protest movement and its opposition, but it looks at the events that preceeded the protests, opinions of both mainlanders, foreigners, and Hong Kongers not involved in the unrest. Asks great questions while providing a myriad of opinions and solutions from all sides. All information is well documented and I enjoyed the supplemental material in the back of the book as well.
