agloe 's review for:
An Abundance of Katherines
by John Green
Overall, good not great, but with some better than good parts. I liked to read about someone's thoughts that I could relate to, specifically how the things that Colin would say sometimes only related to the conversation because he had gone through 12 other thoughts in his head before speaking. I also like the way that Hassan would help Colin out by telling him when things were not interesting.
Trish, you should go ahead and read this book, but know (and looking on the cover might give you a clue) that this book has some math in it, but if you choose to, you can ignore it.
Oh, and that reminds me, I was in general not a fan of the footnotes, but they were not as distracting as some books.
The thing that is more interesting to me is how I came to read this book, and what I found in it when I did.
Not too long ago, I came to find a youtube channel by the user vlogbrothers. (How I came to find it is a goodreads related story, but I will say it is under the category not interesting (if you really want to know you can ask)). Anyway, the channel was started with videos posted back and forth from John and Hank Green. Because I have spent a long time watching these in the past few weeks and because for the most part they made me laugh, I went to the library a few days ago and checked out all of the John Green books on the shelf. One of the things I liked as I read the book was that I could imagine John's voice reading it to me. Anyway, as I read the book, one day, a paper fell out of it, and this is what was written on it:
Hello!
If you enjoy this book then you may be a nerdfighter!

So anyway, I thought that was really awesome, and yes I am putting the paper back in and returning it that way and hopefully someone else will think it is awesome too.
