Same basic review of book 1:
This book is great. If you are into zombie lit, this series is a must. The story line and universe definitely deserve 5 stars. I had only a couple of issues with plot twists and near deaths that probably should have been real deaths, but by all means do yourself a favor and read this one. The Remaining follows a male protagonist after the world has fallen apart. He was part of a special team put together by the US government that was instructed to hide in bunkers while the world fell apart, then re-emerge and establish stable government. Cool plot, great characters, believable and creative twists. Great action.
