“Kingdom of Briars and Roses,” by Heather Hildenbrand 

 

Meeting Rydian at the beginning was a good decision because the beginning was on the slow side, so I would’ve probably lost interest pretty fast. The world-building in the first 25% was necessary but slow. I did like the romance after all the world building and the plot was engaging. A solid 4 out of 5 stars.
