The Library Book by Susan Orlean
3.75
informative mysterious reflective medium-paced

I liked this book a lot at the beginning, but as it became clearer that the book wasn’t going to reach a clear conclusion, I found myself less eager to finish it. That being said, the balance of current library staff interviews, with the history of the LA library system and the investigation ensured I was always learning something new and this might be the most accessible nonfiction book (memoirs excluded) that I have ever read. At a time where libraries and books as a whole are being weaponized, this book did give me hope for the future of our literary world.
