You & Me by Tal Bauer

This book was absolutely beautiful. It’s a sweet, emotional ride with the great game of football and a smidge of spice.

Luke. Sweet Luke. I couldn’t help but feel his loneliness and pain. All he wants is to get back to a relationship with his son. He’s lost his wife and doesn’t quite know how to relate to his son. Landon appears out of left field and becomes an incredible friend to Luke, which he desperately needs. Landon is seemingly Super Dad, Luke needs his secrets. And it wouldn’t be too much of a shock that they fall in love would it?

I adored both Luke and Landon. They have both gone through so much pain to get where they are. If anyone deserves a Happily Ever After it’s definitely these two. Their boys were also great additions to their story, they made it more than just about them. There’s friends to lovers, a bit of pining, and a medium burn. The spice is lovely. This isn’t an intense scene book. They don’t f*ck, they make love. And that’s not my normal MO but I greatly enjoyed it.

This made a great cleanser from all the dark romance I frequent. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a hearty and soulful read.
