Wow. Here is the conclusion that in some ways we waited for 20 years to get. Son brings emotional closure to a lot (though not all) of the big unanswered questions that began in the previous books. Claire is as empathetic a protagonist as Jonas, Kira and Matty were, and the glimpse we get into the timeline and community we saw in The Giver, but from her point of view is thrilling and horrifying.
