I didn't write full reviews the first time I read this series a few years ago, but I do remember thinking this one was my favorite of them all.
I love older, more mature and confident Claire, I love that she's a doctor, I love when she goes back and finds Jamie and all the drama that ensues, I love that we get a little bit of Scotland plus a crazy adventure to the West Indies, I love that we get a bit of Jamie's POV and recap during their years apart, I even love the return of Geilis. This is such a turning point moment in the series. It could've just been more of the same, but of course Gabaldon is better than that.
