The Couple Next Door
by Shari Lapena
Pages and pages could have been edited out. The main problem of this book is repetition and staying too long on a point already established. The twists are excellent; one also finds it easy to get invested in the story right from the start. What's difficult is not to shout with frustration, “Enough already, I got it. Move on!" One more thing that got under my skin was that Marco's supposedly expanded company looked like to be a one-man business firm. A software developing company and no team around? No pals at work? The author has clearly never written a line of code or stepped among developers. Other than these, I liked everything else.
