Beautifully written, with unexpected twists on fairytale tropes—and this is coming from someone who’s read a lot of twisted fairytales. I loved how the characters were allowed to make serious mistakes and then atone for them, learning along the way about authenticity and truth and love, even when everything seems to be falling apart. And then it does fall apart, but they get to begin again. A strangely lovely tale about what matters most when facing the end of the world.
