Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews
5.0
After I finished reading this book, I wonder if this really a fiction book or someone's real story but narrated in a funny way? The book captures reality of high school life. The main character is not perfect and loving like normal YA Fiction book and one event such as your "not so close friend but you hangout with since your mom think it will be a good idea" currently dying of cancer does not turn you into a saint. In fact, I feel like I can relate with the main character (not his gross humor or his questionable taste in movies), it is the way he does not want to make friends or enemies in highschool and he was underestimating himself the whole time. This book is not for the one who want some kind "emotional touching journey" or "complex story that blows your mind away". This book reminds you about reality of teenager life that does not always involving dating and parties, but deal with your pushy mother or not knowing enough about your friends, your passion or even yourself.
