Really captivating and touching story. It’s the kind of writing you just sink into and immerse yourself into so you don’t really feel like you’re reading at all, the world is just happening in front of you. A really gentle and poignant reflection on family dynamics and relationships that was tender without being unfairly devastating.

It’s a really important reflection on suicide that I think begs compassion from the reader, causing pause for reflection on why we insist those who struggle so deeply with living continue to do so. I appreciate how the author/character’s voice does not moralize on suicide, and does not shy away from the pain of the family, but also seeks understanding and empathy.
