I'm going to be honest. This was an unbearable read. Most characters were unlikeable, some of which were clearly portrayed so intentionally, and others that seemed like they were supposed to be "different." As is with many old Spanish novels, domestic abuse and incest plays a focal point, as do random multiple-chapter-long tangents that I struggled to wrap my head around. Don't recommend.
