i rlly enjoyed this i havent read any fantasy in for sure over 5 years and. the way u just fully get transported in the environment and idek how to describe it. as someone who played the harp for 7 years when i was a child i felt a sad kind of nostalgia whenever jack described his instrument and the way it makes him feel and i felt so drawn to the magic of the harp strings when i first tried plucking them as like a 10 year old and i just wish i could feel like that towards music again dang anyways i rlly liked the descriptions of the spirits and nature as well as the opposing violence (its actually quite a bit more violent than i thought it would be) it was such a stark contrast especially jumping from sidra's nature and spirit centered POV to torin's bloodthirsty thoughts
cant wait to read the sequal when it comes outttt
