gorbisorbi 's review for:
My Body
by Emily Ratajkowski
I want to give this 5 stars just to offset the bad reviews. I genuinely believe all the negative reviews are because people can’t bring themselves to accept that hot girls can also be smart and introspective.
This is not a book about feminism. This is a book about Em Rata’s experience in her own body that just so happens to touch on some aspects of feminism, because she is, well, female. She is a wealthy, popular white woman, so her actual experiences are never relatable (who gets a headache while on an all-expense paid trip to Maldives? Certainly not anyone within my tax bracket), but her thoughts and feelings are. Great, enjoyable read, but I would’ve done away with the blind items.
