The Hilarious World of Depression
by John Moe
I was hesitant to buy this at first, because it occurred to me that reading a book about depression during months-long isolation may not be the best of ideas. I'm glad I did anyway - John Moe has a talent for narrating heavy topics in a way that doesn't downplay them, but also doesn't crush you with despair.
It reminded me of the rec that got me to try the podcast - the author said that despite the topic, the podcast made them feel not sad, just seen. This book has that same strength, concentrated and refined.
Highly recommend whether you're a normie, a saddie, a THWoD-ball or someone completely new to this whole thing.
