"Save a horse, ride a cowboy."

I knew from everything I'd heard and seen about this book that I would love it and love it I did! Willa and Cade (and Luke) have my whole heart!

"The coffee is for you. Starting some two-year-olds today. If you feel like getting your back broken, meet me at the barn and you can sit on one."
"Thank you for the coffee. I’m ready for you to break my back."

Right from the very first page I was laughing and kicking my feet and smiling like a loon. Every single moment between Willa and Cade just made me feel so much and I truly adored every moment of this book.

The way Elsie writes her characters is so beautifully flawed and authentically raw and I love getting to know each of them and visit the ranches she creates.

"And I realize in that moment maybe I am heartless after all, because the beautiful girl with the copper hair grinning back at me right now is the one who stole it."

Willa was such a quintessential 20-something, not feeling like she had a true purpose and being afraid to try because of failure. It was so refreshing to follow a FMC that while incredibly confident and sassy, still deep down was trying to figure out her place in the world.

For a girl with so much attitude, she has a serious a case of self-doubt on her hands. One I intend to clear up for her.
"I love listening to you talk, Red. But when you say things that aren't true, I get pissed off. Things you make up in your pretty head and toss around in there long enough that you believe them.
You have no idea how special you are. How insane you make me feel. How I haven't stopped thinking about you since the moment laid eyes on you."

And Cade... where do I even start with Daddy Cade. He was gruff, meticulous and responsible, because he had to be, but watching him learn to be vulnerable again and let himself want things was so satisfying. And the way he owned the bedroom was equally as satisfying.  The mouth on that man!

"You heard me, Red. You keep barking at me like that and I’m going to put you on your knees, open those strawberry lips, and f*ck your face just to shut you up."

Watching Willa and Cade grow to trust and rely on one another, and build a family together with Luke and then Emma was so heart-warming, and I truly loved every single moment of their story.

"I know I’m not actually your mom, but I love you like one. Did you know I fell in love with you before I fell in love with your dad?"
